EN 1279

We
have achieved this coveted accreditation which marks
a universal quality standard for the whole of
Europe.
EN1279 has been introduced to ensure recognisable
and verifiable quality standards for materials and
workmanship in glazed sealed units
In
order to meet the standards laid down in EN1279,
companies must have stringent quality management
systems in place such as ISO 9001:2000 which can
ensure traceability along every stage of production.
External UKAS accredited test labs are used to
periodically carry out rigorous type
testing to the required EN1279 standards
EN1279 requires
that glass units are manufactured to the same
standard across Europe.

Glass prides itself on an extensive range of quality

We
manufacture and sell from a 26,000 sq ft purpose
built facility and service the building trade, hotels,
shops, government departments, and of course the general
public.
We
are long standing members of the Glass and Glazing
Federation where quality and reliability are assured
through the Government approved GGF Code of Ethical
Practice. Every aspect of trading is covered by the Code
of Ethical Practice, from advertising and sales promotions
through the sales process to surveying and installation.
There is the added pledge that all materials used will
comply with the relevant British Standards and GGF
specifications.
Companies are thoroughly vetted before they can join to
ensure that they meet the high standards set by the
Federation. They must have been trading for at least three
years and they are assessed by several committees to check
audited accounts, promotional literature, sales contracts
and local references.

of complete window systems to new developments
